She has not held elected office, but she is as politically involved as you can be without holding an elected position.
– She is the Town & City Committee Representative for the RI Democratic Women’s Caucus, whose mission is to advocate for women’s rights and Democratic values by getting candidates elected to all levels of government.
– She is also on the Charlestown Democratic Town Committee, and when the General Assembly is in session I spend my evenings testifying on behalf of legislation to improve the lives of Rhode Islanders, so she has hands-on knowledge of the inner workings of our state government.
– This has also allowed her to develop working relationships with members of the General Assembly.
– She has spoken at Vote, Run, Lead events encouraging women to run for office, and has been a mentor to local candidates.
